Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be good at drawing to learn animation?
No, you do not need to be an expert illustrator. While traditional drawing helps, modern 2D and 3D animation relies heavily on manipulating shapes, rigging pre-made models, and understanding timing, physics, and software tools.
What software will we be using?
For 2D animation, we focus on Adobe After Effects and Adobe Animate. For 3D, we primarily use Blender (as it is powerful and open-source) alongside introductions to Autodesk Maya, ensuring you are versatile in the industry.
Do I need a high-end PC to take this course?
To practice 3D rendering and complex After Effects compositions at home, a computer with a dedicated Graphics Card (GPU) and at least 8GB-16GB of RAM is highly recommended. However, offline students can utilize the high-performance workstations available in our lab.
Are there job opportunities in this field?
The demand for 2D and 3D artists is exploding. Career paths include working as a Motion Graphics Designer for marketing agencies, a 3D Modeler for the gaming/architecture industry, or a VFX artist for film and television.
